About Tarangire Safari Lodge
A long-established lodge inside Tarangire National Park, on a high bluff above the Tarangire River, with tented rooms, family bungalows and a pool.
Tarangire Safari Lodge sits on an escarpment ridge inside the park, about 10 km from the main gate, with sweeping views over the Tarangire River. In the dry season, elephants and other wildlife gather along the river below.
Accommodation is in 35 tented rooms and 5 stone-and-thatch bungalows. The tents are simple and comfortable, built on solid bases under thatch, each with an en-suite bathroom and a small veranda. The circular bungalows sleep up to three and suit families.
Meals are served as buffets, and there is a swimming pool, a curio shop, Wi-Fi in the main lounge and on the terrace, and 24-hour electricity in the rooms.
Few lodges give you this view: the Tarangire River valley right below your veranda, inside the park, so you are on game drives within minutes. It is good value, relaxed and well suited to families.
